ReThink Jesus: Why Does the Resurrection Matter?
Dr. Matt Heckel
Big Ideas
• The resurrection is the foundation of Christianity.
• The historical evidence for the resurrection deserves serious consideration.
• Because Jesus lives, we have hope in the face of sin, suffering, and death.
Questions to Consider
• Did Jesus really rise from the dead?
• Why does the resurrection matter?
• What difference does it make today?
Desired Outcome
People leave with greater confidence in the resurrection and greater hope in the risen Christ. They see that Christianity ultimately rises or falls on the person of Jesus and His victory over death.
